The GRIT Center at Snow College was funded by the Utah State Legislature and opened November of 2019. Here, through experiential learning, students develop leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Students have the opportunity to participate in diverse entrepreneurial programming and win funding to put their ideas into action through GRIT Center pitch competitions.

About the Event
Prior to this position, Jason was the Director for the Willes Center for International Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University Hawai’i. As a professor of strategy and entrepreneurship he taught classes in strategic management, venture creation, and entrepreneurial management – areas of expertise developed during his career. He has conducted strategy and finance training for MBA students at Harvard Business School (HBS) as well as senior executives at Google, General Electric (GE), Caterpillar, ABB, Insperity, Marvell, and Illumina.
Jason graduated from Brigham Young University with B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Civil and Structural Engineering and was hired by Exxon Mobil in New Orleans as a structural engineer. He completed his MBA in corporate finance at Tulane University.
