About the Event
John Clark holds a BFA in graphic design from Snow College and Utah State University. He is an artist and author with a passion for tourism and automobile history. With his wife, Melissa, he co-authored Opening Zion, chronicling Zion National Park’s first official tourists. He also writes Motor Tales, a series on Utah’s automobile history.
An award-winning printmaker, John’s work has appeared in numerous juried exhibitions, including the 89th Annual Utah Spring Salon (Award of Merit, 2013) and Pictured: Close to Home at the St. George Art Museum (2016). His interest in tourism history inspired a series of vintage-style, screen-printed posters celebrating the golden age of motor travel in western national parks. John also designed Utah’s newest ski-themed license plate.
