The GRIT Center at Snow College was funded by the Utah State Legislature and opened November of 2019. Here, through experiential learning, students develop leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Students have the opportunity to participate in diverse entrepreneurial programming and win funding to put their ideas into action through GRIT Center pitch competitions.

About the Event
The Everyday Entrepreneur (EE) Program is the national leader in impact investing for community college everyday entrepreneurs. The EE provides education, funding, and mentoring support to aspiring entrepreneurs. In partnership with EE and NACCE, the GRIT Center for Rural Entreprenuership at Snow College is hosting an Everyday Entrepreneur Pitch competition for students and the community.
After attending the Everyday Entrepreneur - Workshop, eligeable participants may enter the pitch competition to compete for a portion of $7,500 in cash and prizes .
Winners will receive coaching and advance to the semi-finals of the State Bank Business Challenge where they will compete for $30,000 in cash and prizes.
In order to be elligeable for this pitch competition, entrants must have attended the Everyday Entrepreneur Workshop, be permanent residents of the Snow College 6-county service area (including Juab, Millard, Piute, Sanpete, Sevier, and Wayne Counties) AND have at earned at least $1,000 and less than $200,000 in revenue through their business. Each team will have 90 seconds to pitch their idea, followed by 3 minutes of Q&A. The format will be explained in depth during a pre-competition evaluation session. Please be sure to use a valid phone number and email address to register for this event so that you can be contacted with more details.
The top team from the Seed Track and the top 3 teams from the Startup Track must agree to participate in the State Bank Business Challenge at the One Utah Summit in Cedar City, Utah, by meeting all Business Challenge deadlines.
