The GRIT Center at Snow College was funded by the Utah State Legislature and opened November of 2019. Here, through experiential learning, students develop leadership skills and an entrepreneurial mindset. Students have the opportunity to participate in diverse entrepreneurial programming and win funding to put their ideas into action through GRIT Center pitch competitions.

Interested in building your own product or starting your own company? Checkout the GRIT Center Bootstrap Your Business Competition. APPLICATION DEADLINE: JANUARY 16th @ 11:59 pm. The competition will be held Jan. 30th @ 5pm in the GRIT Center.

What is Bootstrapping anyway?
Bootstrapping means starting a company with little capital ($$) or money from outside sources such as investors. An individual is said to be bootstrapping when they work to found and build a company from personal finances or the profit from the company itself as it grows. This is what we specialize in at the GRIT Center. We can help you take small steps towards growing a product or business without investing tons of money. GRIT Center competitions provide an opportunity for participants to win money that can be used to pay for these small steps.
